What you do: Type in the dollar amount for your donation and click "Add". Your contribution is "magically" transformed into holiday gift cards to specific stores for groceries and toys.
Why gift cards? To let folks buy their own stuff. The holidays are deeply personal for most families and might be the only time all year when they can reconnect with friends and relatives and celebrate togetherness. With special meals and gift exchange being a large part of everyone’s holidays, gift cards give families the freedom to buy groceries and presents—personal things that can’t really be itemized on our website.
Who gets the gift cards? Everyone. When you donate to the Reason To Give holiday gift card pool, your contribution is combined with all the other gift card donors and divided equally amongst all the participating families on December 15.
