Daily Candy Chicago, a fashion and lifestyle daily e-newsletter, recently featured Reason to Give's work supporting residents of Humboldt Park on January 2nd's Daily Candy. Thanks to the "Today's Candy" feature, Reason to Give received a HUGE number of hits and generated several hundred dollars in donations, not to mention people as far away as California were sending us emails of encouragement. more +
Reason to Give has been featured in the January 30th issue of The DePaulia, the student newspaper of DePaul University. In March of 2008, an accidental fire burned down the New Moms shelter. New Moms provides services and housing for homeless teenage moms, here in Humboldt Park. The Chronicle of Philanthropy's October 16th issue detailed the fire, its aftermath and how community was key to surviving this tragedy.
