Family needs help keeping warm this winter

Expires in about 1 year

The reason:

Profile: Marina and Julio have four children - Giovani, Julio, Brenda, and Jason. Marina stays home, takes the kids to school, and is a homemaker - or in Spanish ama de casa: soul of the house. Giovani and Julio (Jr) go to Clemente High School, and Brenda and Jason to Lafayette Elementary. Brenda would like to atttend Lane Tech for high school, and she dreams about going to college and becoming a lawyer so that she can help to protect people who are innocent.

The Aviles Family all live in a house which they share with Julio's parents; father and son split the bills. Julio Sr and his father work in a factory, but make very little; they're having difficulties making the payments ($850 each) on their mortgage. Julio said: "I work and I work so I can send my kids to school" but he's struggling to support his household.

Julio's parents are seniors, and although they need to keep working to pay their bills, it's not easy. The house needs new windows, because currently they are not keeping the heat in. The family (all 8 of them) also needs shoes, clothes, coats, scarves, hats, and chairs - they have tables but no chairs.
