Profile: Margarita is the mother of four children ages 2-14. Her biggest concern when she contacted Reason to Give was helping her older daughters learn to read.

Humboldt Park has always been home to Margarita. But she doesn’t want the boundaries of a neighborhood to define her children’s futures. She knows education is the best way out of socio-economic hardship.

Margarita wants education to be the path her children take for greater opportunities. That’s why building a strong reading foundation for her daughters is such a priority and her main focus. Ideally, she’d like assistance putting them through the Sylvan Learning program but would gladly accept a computer and educational software.
