Grandmother needs help starting her own daycare

Eddiemae learned about Reason to Give while attending her daughter's elementary school open house. She is a proud grandmother of seven and the adoptive mother of four year-old Cherish. Humboldt Park has been home to Eddiemae for over ten years. She is well loved by all her neighbors and often volunteers her time at the nearby school.

Eddiemae is currently out of work and suffers from deppression on a regular basis. The reality that she cannot always provide for her family the way that she would like to takes a toll on her as well. She tells Reason to Give that all she wants is to be able to give her children and grandchildren everything they need for a bright future. Cherish hopes to be a teacher someday; Eddiemae wants all her daughter's dream s to come true.

Eddiemae's goal is to start her own daycare center from out of her home. She asked Reason to Give to help her with supplies to get this business up and running. She also needs items for Cheris, such as school supplies, winter wear, and shoes. Eddiemae is greatful for any help she receives.
