Reason to Give's Live and Learn workshop series has been devised to provide our participants with the education to be independent and successful. Professionals from community organizations, such as Association House of Chicago, Wright College, I.C.Stars, and Ladder Up, have volunteered their time to share such crucial information. This ten month series teaches health awareness, budgeting, basic employment skills, continuing education options, financial advice, computer knowledge, parenting skills, and more.
Upon graduation, in June 2013, participants will be awarded a computer for all of their hard work and dedication. Reason to Give is requesting gently-used computers that are less then three years old, or financial contribution, so that we can meet this goal. Please help our participants become active members of the community by facilitating their access to resources via the Internet!
Reason To Give sources high quality, sustainable goods from reputable retailers who give back to society. We buy direct from local retailers, US-based businesses, Fair Trade companies and eco-friendly brands. So while they might not be the cheapest, they're certainly the most considerate.
