On August 28, Reason to Give families, past and present, came together to celebrate the start of the new school year. We had a full house of 58 children in attendance! Thanks to great contributions from Barista Coffee House, the G-Team, and all our generous donors the first annual It Takes a Village school supply drive was a tremendous success. Each student in attendance was given a backpack full of the school supplies needed for the upcoming school year. Additionally, SAT and ACT books, study guides, and a scientific calculator were raffled off during the event.
Every family contributed one of their favorite homemade dishes to the pot-luck and adults spent the day mingling with one another, while the children danced and made new friends.
